CORONAVIRUS (COVID19)

Arbroath Medical Centre is open but due to Coronavirus social distancing measures access is restricted. If you are unwell please phone the Practice first. All appointments are being allocated on the day and will not be bookable in advance. We can assure you the practice is still open and fully staffed, but we need to keep the waiting area as safe as possible for everyone. Patients will be seen in the Practice once you have had a telephone consultation with either the Doctor or Nurse Practitioner or you have a pre-booked appointment and are currently without symptoms i.e no cough or fever.

If you have Coronavirus related symptoms but are well and managing, please self isolate for ten days in line with national guidance details, of which can be found via NHS Inform Website, NHS 111 or for free via the helpline on 0800 028 2816.

If you require a sick note you will be able to get this from the NHS Inform website.

Please note during this time please order prescriptions via Vision On-Line Services or by emailing TAY.arbroathmcprescriptions@remove-this.nhs.scot or by telephone.

Flu Vaccinations 2020

Arbroath Medical Centre – Flu Vaccinations 2020

This year due to having to factor in Social Distancing measures to our Flu Vaccination Programme, we have decided to run a Clinic the week beginning 28th September 2020 which will be held at the Community Centre, Marketgate, Arbroath.

This is for the following patient groups:

  • Patients aged 65 and over
  • Patients aged 18-64 and in an “at risk” flu vaccination category
  • Patient living with someone who was asked to shield due to risk of Covid-19

The clinics for these will be on specific days, therefore when calling to book your appointment please advise the receptionist of which category you fall into.

To book an appointment please call the reception team on 01241 431144

Do not attend the clinics if you have any Covid symptoms or are unwell.

  • Please maintain social distancing at all times and wear a mask/face covering
  • Where possible please attend alone.  Family members who are being vaccinated on the same day can be allocated a time as close to your appointment as possible.  Where possible, please book these together.
  • Do not attend early or late, attend at the time you are given
  • Do not wear layers of clothing, we need the arm you will be vaccinated in to be as free from clothing as possible.
